You should know that the whole idea with the tax cut was for companies to be able to keep their companies open so the poor folk can keep working!!
Of course the poor folk don't get a raise. What did they do for the companies?!?!
Obviously, Maugham, you haven't read Orwell in a while. Animal Farm was a screed against Socialism and the power of the state over the power of the people.
"Fascism is as facism does". It makes no differecne that Orwell was addressing Stalin, Trotsky and others (I am quite aware) at the time...the methods are the same...thus the same is applicable.

Since, however, you are in favor of mommy government always being around to hold our hand through any crisis, tax the rich to feed the lazy, and make toothless threats to smite any and all who disagree with you, you seem to remind me quite a bit of one of Orwell's other major literary creation...Big Brother.
Oh that is so silly Fuse. At best government is no momma, and the poor are not lazy. Some of them work twice as hard as you will ever have to just to survive. Some work two jobs and have no health care because the bastards on Bush's watch make sure no health care will be available.
Big Brother is about control and manipulation...violence and coercion.

My arguments are my own Fuse. Note that I do not assume you are just a stooge for Dougey-boy. I give you a little more credit. Make your case...but do not smear me me. I like Moveon...but I watch them. Moore does some good, but his "scholarship" is at timesw suspect.
